On the 12-day original journey along the coast of Norway, sailing northbound and then southbound, you can enjoy Norway's many fjords and mountains along the way. We call at 34 ports of all sizes and cross the Arctic Circle twice in 2.500 nautical miles. It is the definitive, beautiful route if you want to experience the coast of Norway.

Day 1

Bergen - Northbound

Bergen, has been the starting point for the classic journey for almost 130 years. If there is time before boarding, you can take the cable car Fløibanen, where you can be transported up to Fløyfjellet and a beautiful view of the city.

Day 2

Florø - Molde Northbound

In the summer you can enjoy the spectacular waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord, enjoy the scenery in the "hidden" pearl Hjørundfjorden in the autumn and admire the art nouveau style in Ålesund. From mid-June to the end of August, the streets and gardens in Molde are decorated with the sight and smell of roses in all shades, so that Molde truly lives up to its nickname "City of Roses".

Day 3

Kristiansund - Rørvik Northbound

The Viking city of Trondheim is buzzing with history and culture. Northern Europe's largest cathedral is located here, as well as the country's largest wooden palace. A must-see in the city is Nidaros Cathedral, called “Norway's Notre Dame” because of its Gothic style and because it is considered the holiest building in all of Norway.

Day 4

Brønnøysund - Svolvær Northbound

The Arctic Circle around 7 in the morning. North of this geographical line, you will find that it is light around the clock in the summer. In winter, you have a very high chance of experiencing the northern lights. We sail along the Helgeland coast to the Lofoten archipelago.

Day 5

Stokmarknes - Skjervøy Northbound

Tromsø, the Arctic capital awaits with its many cultural, historical and scenic experiences. Across the fjord, where the ship docks, we should be able to see the iconic Ishav Cathedral with its beautiful, colored mosaic glass.

Day 6

Øksfjord - Berlevåg Northbound

A short stop in Øksfjord at night, then Hammerfest and in the morning to Honningsvåg, the gateway to the North Cape, where a monument marks the top of continental Europe. The ship sails on through the Kjøllefjord and reaches the northernmost port of call, Mehamn.

Day 7

Båtsfjord - Kirkenes - Båtsfjord Northbound/Southbound

We now arrive at the eastern part of Norway and its coastline. The nearest city from here is in Russia and you will experience the many aspects of Russian culture here. Kirkenes marks the turning point for the journey - when the ship now heads south, we will see more of the places we sailed to during the night, during the day.

Day 8

Mehamn - Tromsø Southbound

Let yourself be enchanted by the rugged coastline of Finnmark and Troms, explore Hammerfest. As we sail to Tromsø, we might also catch a glimpse of the Lyng Alps, which have some of Norway's highest mountain peaks. Tromsø is called just before midnight.

Day 9

Tromsø - Stamsund Southbound

The mountains and islands of Vesterålen and the Lofoten archipelago are some of the most amazing scenery the Norwegian coast can offer. Trollfjord is worth a detour if the weather permits. After Finnsnes early in the morning, the ship docks in Harstad, where the whitewashed Trondenes church, the world's northernmost medieval stone church, is located.

Day 10

Bodø - Rørvik Southbound

We sail south towards the Helgeland coast and dock in Bodø in the early morning hours. After this, we cross the Arctic Circle again. We sail past the impressive mountain chain "De syv søstre", which reaches a height of 1.100 metres. The last stop of the day is the cozy fishing port of Rørvik.

Day 11

Trondheim - Ålesund Southbound

Spend the morning in Trondheim, followed by beautiful island landscapes and some of Norway's smallest communities, before we call at Kristiansund and Molde. Pop into one of Bakklandet's many smart cafes to enjoy quality coffee and Nordic pastries, then head up to Kristiansten Fortress for a fantastic view of Norway's third largest city.

Day 12

Ålesund - Bergen South bound

At night we dock in Ålesund and in the morning we call at Florø and you can stretch your legs for half an hour. Further towards Bergen, we cross the mouth of the Sognefjord, the longest and widest in Norway. We dock in Bergen and the journey is thus over.
